Topic: The Essential Exercise Guide for Parkinson’s disease
You aren’t stuck with the brain you have. You can change it! And, you don’t have to be a physical therapist to be an expert at exercise for Parkinson’s disease. Dr. Valerie Johnson, DPT, will be talking about some brain-changing tricks of the trade on how and why you should be exercising with PD. All you need are some clear guidelines, a lot of effort, and a little creativity. That’s what it takes to stay on top of your symptoms, slow the progression of PD, and enjoy a better life. This talk applies PD-specific, research-based exercise principles to help you maximize the benefits of your exercise practice, drive back, and stave off your PD symptoms.
